Introductions are always hard

Class, we are going to go around and introduce ourselves with a small fact or something interesting ’ —

INTRODUCTIONS

As a kid and still now as an adult, I have always dread this moment. I never know what to say about myself.

Do I start off by saying where i’m from? No that’s boring. Do I start off by saying how old I am?? uh, everyone in this class is the same age. Think of something else! Oh I got it! It’s sure to start a conversation with everyone.

‘Hi I’m Tenisha some call me Nisha and something interesting about me is I am a twin’

Everyone stares at me, not entertained.

Well that didn't go well, let me just go ahead and sit down.

ADULTHOOD

Needless to say, the thought of introducing myself terrifies me. Fast forward to adulthood, I still stumbled over the question. But I like to think i’m getting better at it. hahaha

I am not a person to really talk about myself, because overall I really just have an average story. But thats ok, because this blog is meant to help YOU!

So as I begin this journey into blogging, this is my introduction to you.

BEGINNINGS

It all begin with an idea. In 2019, I was venting to a co worker that I need a hobby, because my life seems to only be about work, kids, husband or bills. I don’t have anything for myself. She suggested photography. I thought, ehh ok, why not try it out. Did that for all but a week but still felt like something was missing.

Then in 2020, I was home a lot more (like everyone else) and was on social media a lot more (like everyone else). I started to see more and more plus/curvy influencers and I loved it!

From there is where I wanted to create a space for plus/curvy women and working mothers. My goal is to take away the stigma that plus/curvy women and working mothers can't have style.

Be sure to subscribe because twice a month, Blazing Fashion by Tenisha will provide styling tips and fashion inspiration for all. I hope to bring out your inner creativity and curiosity when it comes to fashion and style.
